The Denver Principles (1983)
There is no better way to cite the history of the PWA self-empowerment movement
that to quote the principles articulated in Denver in 1983. They are as relevant and
powerful today as they were then.

We are thrilled to introduce you to TransSiS, an initiative of Positive People Network Inc. that seeks to revolutionize the perception of cisgender and transgender Black women in our community. Founded by Alecia Tramel-McIntyre and Kativa Chanel Abbott, TransSiS brings together the unique perspectives and experiences of both cisgender and transgender individuals to challenge societal norms and advocate for inclusivity and understanding.
Our mission at TransSiS is clear: to educate and inform our community about womanhood and what it truly means. We believe in celebrating the diversity of womanhood, embracing the unique journeys of cisgender and transgender women alike, and fostering a culture of acceptance and empowerment for all.
Our vision is one of unity and empowerment, where cisgender and transgender women stand together as allies and advocates, breaking down barriers and building bridges of understanding. We envision a world where every woman is valued, respected, and celebrated for who she is, regardless of gender identity.
The purpose of TransSiS is to create a safe and inclusive environment for all women living in Miami and beyond. Through educational workshops, discussions, and outreach programs, we aim to equip our community with the knowledge and tools needed to cultivate a culture of respect, empathy, and acceptance.
As part of our initiative, we will be hosting a series of educational workshops designed to train the community on creating a safe and inclusive environment for all women. These workshops will cover topics such as gender identity, intersectionality, allyship, and creating inclusive spaces. We invite you to join us in this important conversation and be a part of positive change in our community.
Being the New Girls on The Block, we understand that we must have Allies. We welcome your support, your help and your love. To partner with our organization, please reply to this email on possible collaborations and MOU's.
Together, we can challenge stereotypes, break down barriers, and build a more inclusive and equitable society for all women. We hope you will join us on this journey of empowerment and advocacy.
Thank you for your support,
